enSoie meets: Thomas

We meet Thomas in Geneva. He is wearing the Ash skirt.

enSoie: Were you trying to fit in or stand out as a teenager?
Thomas: I was trying to stand out as a way to escape. Style was a small passport to elsewhere.

Who were your early style icons?
Robert Smith, Vautrin (Balzac’s criminal daddy), the Totally Spies, and some random guys hanging out at the skatepark.

What would you like to explore next in your style?
Toxic green, office-plant green, frog green. I want to become Kermit by next summer.

What’s the “signature” object in your home?
A small black painting by Nicolas Jasmin that says, almost invisibly, “I like it when you don’t like it.”
