We meet Jean-Claude, our partner in Basel, at our joint Maison enSoie and SAALHOF 1123. He is wearing our new Allan shorts, featuring a hand-painted Vichy check, and carrying a matching Carry less bag.
enSoie: What is the oldest item you still wear?
Jean-Claude: A Patagonia Fleece Jumper I bought when I was in boarding school in the Swiss Alps in 1994. I felt ultra cool.
Do you think about colour a lot?
I love colours, I think there is nothing more boring than beige.
Who were your early style icons?
Some of my teachers were old Ibiza Hippies. They mixed ancient Afghani Kaftans with British Tweed and Italian Velvet slippers.
