enSoie meets: Solune
Solune is wearing the Manhattan Trenchcoat in Khaki Green.
enSoie: What outfit from your youth still lives in your head?
Solune: I remember the very first time my mum let me go to the shop on my own. I got to dress myself for the occasion and wore everything in multicoloured stripes: a striped skirt, striped rain boots and a striped scarf. I was about five years old. I loved that outfit.
Is there a piece you own but rarely wear?
Quite a few! I collect heels, so I probably have around 20 to 25 pairs, and I rarely wear most of them. Either I don’t have anywhere to wear them, they are too fragile or uncomfortable, or I bought them simply to have them. Some of them are even the wrong size!
Do you think about colour a lot?
All the time. As a make-up artist, colour is such a big part of my creative process, and I feel that reflects in the way I dress as well. I love bright colours, especially neons. Growing up, I watched my mum, who is an artist, paint a lot. I remember her explaining complementary colours to me and how colours combine to create new ones. I think that sparked my interest and it still influences how I dress today.
