enSoie meets: Sophie
enSoie: What are your earliest memories of clothes?
Sophie: My earliest memories of clothes are the bags we took home after family gatherings. They were full of clothes from my cousins. As I have 14 cousins, almost all of them older than me, I was very lucky.
Have your values (sustainability, politics, identity) changed the way you buy or wear clothes?
My values have changed over the years. As a child, I only wore hand-me-downs; as a teenager and in my early twenties, I loved buying new clothes. Now I buy everything second-hand and am happiest when I can go as long as possible without buying anything new. The best thing for me is inheriting a piece of clothing from a friend.
Who were your early style icons?
My style icons back then were Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and the Olsen twins.
