enSoie meets: Latoya & Merlin

We met Latoya and Merlin in Paris. Latoya is wearing one of our new Carré Foulard 70 and Merlin the classic Hugo jacket. 

enSoie: Which item do you reach for most often? Why that one?

Merlin: Probably a jacket. I wear a lot of lightweight jackets and workwear-inspired pieces. I like clothes that feel functional but still have a character to them, something you can throw on every day and that slowly becomes part of your identity.

enSoie: Who were your early style icons?

Latoya: Donyale Luna. I loved how otherworldly she felt. She had such a strong presence and seemed completely herself.

enSoie: What detail makes a garment feel “luxury” to you?

Merlin: For me, luxury is mostly about how something feels rather than how it looks. The weight of a fabric, the way a seam is finished, a subtle detail you only notice when you’re wearing it. It’s that feeling that something has been made with time and attention.
